A real resistance of Wall Street won’t be televised. Any successful attempt at organizing a resistance will be co-opted and turned to represent partisan politics and the corporate agenda rather than unite the 99%. This is simply because most of the media and all of television consists of a giant trust of 5 corporations owned and controlled by the banks and the world’s top 1%. The message will be lost. If you still want to camp on Wall Street, I’d suggest a name change and to have your first demand being the trust-busting of the 5 corporations who own most of the media. Otherwise, I’d suggest to look for a campground with trees.
The most effective resistance is to use a credit union rather than a large commercial bank. You only need $5 to open a savings account, and you get all services for free and the lowest interest rates. You also tend to get better customer service. The commercial banks can’t own and control the money supply and corporations if you own the money supply. Use of local and community banks which fund small business would also be a good choice. State banks, such as the Bank of North Dakota, which help fund state governments without interest-bearing debt would also be a good choice. If you must support corporate America, buy corporate bonds. It is more honest than commercial banking.
Then, educate yourself on fractional reserve banking and the only reasonable alternative to it, honest, sound, and public usury-free legal tender, which can be used to pay off the national debt, prevent manipulation of the money supply, control inflation, deflation, and stagflation, and fund the government without taxation.
I was shown by a friend that “Occupy Wall Street” might have been bought from that start. Follow the money.
And here is an interesting warning from the alternative media,
Here we have an organization advertised as having no leaders and no message. It seems to be invitation for the corporate media to create and target their own message to their audience.
Recruit them with rage, form a tide of division, wrong message, and lost message, and leave them with apathy. The funded organization causes the sincere supporters to ignore valid messages if the funded organization, brutalized and ignored, also ignores the message. It is one way to make sure the valid messages are weakened and the false paradigm is strengthened if the loyalty to the funded organization is formed with rage.
The “Anonymous” videos were suspect as well. Hackers do not threaten. They just do. My guess is that funded members of the organization are just pretending to be “Anonymous” or that “Anonymous” itself is a funded government counter-intelligence operation.
I suggested to several members of “Occupy Wall Street” that their prime message should be to bust the media monopoly. I even offered to go camp on Wall Street with them if someone gave me a ride. You’ll never hear that message on the corporate media and such message would be ignored by the “leaderless” leaders of the organization, thus, causing those real activists loyal to the cause to value the message less if the organization does not value it. Instead, higher value is placed on less meaningful messages as campaign finance reform, which is often proposed and directed at funding mainstream speech with tax payer money, thereby falsely giving an appearance of increased credibility, and placing limits on alternative speech. Even well-intended campaign finance reform would not be as effective as busting the real power behind deciding elections, the corporate media monopoly.
If it looks like a little bit of money is behind it, it probably has money from big sources behind it. If the corporate media does give it some attention, it is approved by the corporate media. You would be surprised how many “grassroots” truther and libertarian activists are funded with weird connections to such things as the United Nations, PETA, the Church of Scientology, PNAC, Peter Thiel, and George Soros, not to mention the well-known funding of the Austrian School of Economics by the Rockefeller Foundation. Thanks to all the real anonymous activists who have informed me of these things, who have researched these things, and who have shown me the sources to these things.
